Andy was born and raised in Wilmington, NC.  He graduated from New Hanover High School in 1995.  He received a bachelor of science in engineering from North Carolina State University in 1999 and his JD from Wake Forest in 2002.  Andy interned in the New Hanover County District Attorney’s office while in law school.  In the fall of 2002, Andy joined Robby to found Collins & Collins Law Offices, PLLC.  Andy was a full partner in the practice until he passed the United States Patent Bar and took a job with the United States Patent and Trademark office, where he worked as a primary patent examiner until August of 2016.  Andy rejoined the practice full time and now represents clients in estate planning and intellectual property matters.
Andy lives in New Hanover County with his wife Erin, their sons Warren, Jr. and Wright and their Golden Retriever Harry.
