Widespread Panic

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Get ready for Panic at the 2014 North Carolina Azalea Festival.

Widespread Panic will play two concerts during the 67th annual event in April, festival organizers announced this morning.

“We are thrilled to bring Widespread Panic back to the Azalea Festival and our new downtown venue,” Azalea Festival President Steve Coble said in a news release announcing the concerts. “Having them headline for two nights, Friday and Saturday, will give fans a chance to experience Widespread in Wilmington in a way that’s never been done before.”

The southern rock legends will perform at 8 p.m. Friday, April 11, and Saturday, April 12, on the festival’s outdoor stage at the Cape Fear Community College parking lot on N. Front St. between Brunswick and Hanover streets across from the Schwartz Center and WWAY NewsChannel 3. The festival moved its concerts to the venue last year with sold-out performances by the Avett Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Tickets for the concerts are $60. Order online at NCAzaleaFestival.org to purchase and print tickets beginning Saturday at 9 a.m.

Tickets also available at the Azalea Festival office at 5725 Oleander Drive beginning Monday at 9 a.m. and continuing Monday–Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

All tickets are general admission, standing room only. This is a rain or shine event. All tickets are non-refundable.
